Having been brought up surrounded by music with a Mum who was a member of the Small Faces fan club, an avid vinyl collecting family and a house filled with the sounds of The Beatles, Neil Young and Miles Davies on a daily basis, Terry Shaughnessy started writing music from a very early age and continued to do so until he decided to take the road armed with just his voice and an acoustic guitar.
Going on to work with the likes of Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra and Death in Vegas’s Tim Holmes, Terry was soon playing along-side big names including Joe Strummer and Ian McLagan with his band The Universal, sharing the stage with big names and appearing at Festivals across Europe.
Songs From Another Life is the new album from Terry Shaughnessy. From the urgency of ‘Volcano’ to the wistfulness of ‘Leaky Boat’ it is packed with classic songwriting and timeless melodies.
